I Promise Not To Do This Every Day

I just feel thrilled to have the time to write again, even if it is only in a transparent blog, sending out messages to the Universe in my own little way.

Husband brought home roses. First time in months. Happy man, cooking on the grill, barking back at the dogs when they bark at him. Life is good.

And my biggest thrill was when he said that today (a Sunday I would not normally have off if I were working in retail), "I'm going to take the sailboat out for the first trip with the new motor on it. Want to come?"

As in, did he have to ask?

I love boats. I love water. I love riding in boats. Everything about boats thrills me.

And the icing on the cake? "If everything goes well with the steering (new cable) and the motor, next weekend is Memorial Day and I have three days off. Let's invite Sister and Her Husband out on the boat."

Sister and Her Husband are traveling back up to their home in Maryland to sell it, so they would be here, but that wasn't the point. The point is....I DON'T HAVE TO WORK ON MEMORIAL DAY.

IT'S A HOLIDAY, PEOPLE, AND THIS CHICK-A-DEE WON'T BE WORKING.

I was so excited that on a day I could sleep in, I could not. The minute the light hit the window I was awake, thinking about what I should wear, bring, do...

The world is my oyster. The possibilities are endless.
