Drama and I Are Going To Have To Break Up

I saw this little ditty somewhere in an Internet meme and loved it then. Still do. And it's truer than ever lately.

I don't do stress. I lived with stress for many, many years and you know, we just don't get along. I'm an impulsive sort of dame, so when I make a split second decision, I just become okay with it, no matter what it is. Buying houses, marrying people, eating a pint of ice cream...I just do it. I have never been someone that anyone else could say..."she takes forever to make a decision." Nope, not this girl. I have always been a "life's too short" person. Luckily, I've never contemplated suicide.

In my life, drama seems to come in waves. Lately, there's a tsunami out there along my usually unfettered shoreline, bringing in all manner of issues ten-fold.

I have a daughter trying to buy her first house, and people scrambling to offer help in various ways, and she communicates like a gravestone, staying silent for days while she "marinates," driving her mother absolutely bonkers. My daughter is a "think of all the angles" person, who doesn't see the joy of life in the no-drama zone. It takes weeks for her to make the RIGHT decision, which usually isn't. I'm blaming it on the astrological chart, because she was supposed to be a Sagittarius, but ended up a Capricorn, which is the whole entire problem as I see it. I'm just one of those "go for it" people, and that alone drives her insane as well. And, I married a Capricorn this time around, so I'm surrounded by the double whammy of "let's think about it" for days.

I have a husband whose ex-wife still holds the Evil Disney Queen magic over him. She's tried to get credit under his name, has creditors calling my phone number and yet, when she commands his attention, it's snap-to-soldier all over again. Once dominated, always dominated. If my ex was to call me and tell me what's what, I'd hunt him down and introduce him to my little friend, baseball bat.

I have writing deadlines looming, art to make and a festival this weekend which is a new one to my stable of normals, which always causes me to have at least one pimple appear, and usually on the tip of my nose.

But, on a happier note, I have a beach to walk tomorrow morning, and the waves, seabirds and salt air will take care of any issues....
